Contrary to expectations, gay bars in Istanbul are not inexpensive, unlike other everyday items. This is primarily due to high taxes and the relatively lower drinking habits of Turkish people, as well as the smaller capacity of clientele in gay bars compared to regular ones. Thus, the prices of drinks in gay bars would be some % 50 more than the regular bars in the vicinity. Therefore, don’t automatically assume that you’re being overcharged just because you’re a tourist, which is not a very common incident in gay venues. The price of a single drink typically falls within the range of $4 to $7 for local beverages and $10 to $15 for imported drinks (such as Whiskey) and most cocktails.

Stay Club Taksim - Cari amici italiani, prendete un uomo Turco mettetegli un po’ di ciccia qualche pelo e un po’ di muscoli, aggiungete lo sguardo profondo di chi ha origini mediorientali ( di quelli che ti fanno tremare le gambe perché ti guarda l’anima). Aggiungete poi il coraggio di resistere alla religione e alla politica e quindi nonostante tutto ci mette la faccia, sorride e si diverte. Moltiplicate tutto per 100-200 volte ( non so quanti erano).
Ecco fatto ! questo è il cocktail piu’ buono e più bello che ho visto in questo locale.
Anche chi ci lavora lo fa con onesta’ e impegno.
PS: in generale sui club di IST ho letto diverse recensioni su prezzi diversi per turisti o situazioni pericolose. Io ho girato 2-3 locali ma ho trovato i prezzi esposti uguali per tutti,
e se rispetti le loro regole, nessuno è violento con te. Quindi girate tranquilli ma non siate ingenui però, qualcuno si avvicina perché lo fa per lavoro ( ma questo è il mestiere più antico del mondo, quindi lo travate ovunque).

Loud music, flashes that suddenly blind you, nothing abnormal. Entrance fee 380 Turkish lira (apprx 12$), cloakroom 50, average price of drinks 340 plus the one included. Much more than one expects in Istanbul, but, to be honest, not too much. Also considering that 4 guys dancing had to be paid. I might have complaints about the music, but it's not much different from the average in Turkey.
