Most viewed Turkish music video in 2018 is by an openly gay singer
The music video of openly gay Turkish singer Mabel Matiz becomes the the most viewed Turkish song in 2018. The song titled “Öyle Kolaysa” hit 200 Million views on YouTube as of December 2018. The song and its video with retro characteristics reminding the sound of Turkish psychedelic music of 1970’s had first ben published in February 2018. Written and composed by himself, the song is already among the top 10 most viewed Turkish songs of all times.
In addition to song’s success in Turkey it also stayed in worldwide top 100 list on YouTube for about 2 months.
Mabel Matiz also won the Best Video Clip Award with his pop-art video clip in the 44th Golden Butterfly (Altın Kelebek) ceremony which took place in Istanbul on December 9th, 2017. The video clip of his song titled “Ya Bu İşler Ne” has been watched over 70 million times on YouTube in a short time. Golden Butterfly Awards are considered as Emmy Awards of Turkish entertainment industry and the winners are selected by popular votes.

You will find the cinema on your left hand side in the 3rd block just before the post office. It is in a basement inside the passage of the building hard to notice as it is cover with ivies and trees in front of it and it has no visible sign-board, So look carefully. As of 2016 there is a kebab restaurant called Adana Sofrasi across the street with respect to the entrance. .
